Aug 25 (Reuters) - Tesla on Tuesday raised prices for two variants of its Cybertruck pickup trucks by $5,000 in the United States.

The Cybertruck, touted by CEO Elon Musk as a futuristic rival to pickup trucks from legacy automakers such as Ford, has struggled to sustain interest since its 2023 launch. The vehicle has also faced multiple recalls and quality-control issues, while Tesla has repeatedly revised prices.

The electric-vehicle maker increased the price of the dual-motor Cybertruck to $74,990 from $69,990, while the all-wheel-drive version now costs $84,990, up from $79,990, according to its website.

The company introduced a cheaper dual-motor variant at $59,990 in February, though Musk said the promotional price would last just 10 days.

Tesla also raised the price of the top-end Cyberbeast by $15,000 to $114,990 in August 2025, before reversing the increase the following February.
