The rerecorded version of Taylor Swiftâs debut album could be coming soon.
On Monday, the Grammy Museum shared the full footage from âThe Icon Sessions with Taylor Swift: A 20-Year Retrospective,â an intimate event hosted by the Recording Academyâs Songwriters & Composers Wing on Aug. 18.
And for the nearly hourlong session â which included both a songwriting discussion with Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and an acoustic performance â Swift selected a look that harkened back to her mid-2000s beginnings in country music.

With its âgreen jasperâ hue, romantic cascading ruffles and floral corsage pinned at one shoulder, the design reminded many fans of the color palette and aesthetic synonymous with the musicianâs 2006 self-titled debut LP, which features hits like âOur Song,â âTim McGrawâ and âTeardrops On My Guitar.â
âThatâs the most debut dress to ever debut,â one posted on X, while another observed, âThe dress is definitely debut green.â
âGreen dress? Debut TV [Taylorâs Version] is around the corner guys,â a third wrote.

Swift accessorized with RetrouvaĂ diamond earrings, an Effy Jewelry tennis bracelet and her Kindred Lubeck-designed engagement ring from husband Travis Kelce, along with her brand-new diamond wedding band.
The songwriter reminisced about her Nashville start during her chat with Mason.
âIâve loved â and I think this can happen as you grow up â my country roots more and more,â Swift said. âThe further along this path I get, I want to honor them more and more, and I feel more and more tied and more loyal to them â the people that shaped who I am as an artist and as a writer.â

With the 20th anniversary of her âTaylor Swiftâ album just around the corner on Oct. 24, speculation has been swirling that the Grammy winner might finally release her version, which has been finished for over a year.
âIâve already rerecorded my entire debut album. And I really love how it sounds now,â Swift revealed in a May 2025 letter announcing sheâd finally acquired her master recordings.
More recently, New Yorkâs Empire State Building and Dallasâ Reunion Tower glowed green (the official hue of the superstarâs first album), with both landmarksâ social media accounts playfully writing, âWhaTS happening?â
The use of capital letters matching Swiftâs initials sent fans into a frenzy.
As Swifties wait to see whether âTaylor Swift (Taylorâs Version)â materializes â so far, the pop icon hasnât confirmed anything â they can enjoy her unplugged performance from the Grammy Museum gathering.
Seated behind the same flower-painted piano she brought along on the Eras Tour, Swift treated the audience to a mashup of âI Knew It, I Knew You,â âAugustâ and âAll Too Well.â
