Following her reported divorce from Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman has reportedly prepared herself emotionally for a new chapter in her life and to welcome a new member to her family. According to Heat World, the Babygirl star is reportedly considering adopting another child.
The report noted that the idea strongly appeals to her, and she is considering doing so on her own, but at the same time, she does not minddoing it with a partner by her side. Interestingly, the idea arose during her marriage to Urban, but it never became a reality,

According toHeat World, sources close to Nicole Kidman told the outlet that after her divorce from Keith Urban, she has reportedly pushed herself out of her comfort zone. The actress is reportedly making changes in both her professional and personal life.
The insider noted that she is feeling “wistful and wishful, over what’s next” after parting ways with the singer. This includes rebuilding her relationships with her older children and savoring quality time with family and friends. They noted that this ‘brave and bold new chapter’ comes with one lingering ‘What if?’ that continues to weigh on her.
“Nicole has stepped into her most empowered chapter ever – she has total agency over her life and that’s really sinking in. As a result, she is more self-assured and realizes that the world truly is her oyster,” a source said. “She has the means to do whatever she wants, and that includes adding to her family. Doing it on her own is very appealing in a lot of ways, though she isn’t opposed to doing it with a partner.”
The source added that there was a time when the Moulin Rouge! star and Urban were “actively interested in adoption,” adding that they were “very serious” about it. However, their careers and marital problems prevented them from moving forward with the plan. Although it may have been for the best at the time, she has reportedly not lost interest in the idea.
Nevertheless, Kidman has always embraced the role of motherhood. Despite her successful Hollywood career, she has often described herself as a mother first.

‘I Love Mothering, I Love Kids’
During an exclusive interview with Marie Claire Australia, Kidman said that despite her immense success, she has “one great regret.” She wished she had “more children,” saying she was never given that choice, admitting, “I would’ve loved 10 kids.”
She also opened up about her fertility struggles and miscarriages, saying she does not regret what has happened. The Rabbit Hole star mentioned that she has six nieces and nephews and is a godmother to 12 children. She added, “I love mothering, I love kids: they’re quirky, funny and unfiltered. And then you get to see them grow and send them on their way.”
The report from Heat World also noted that Kidman had reportedly been inspired by her Practical Magic 2 co-star, Sandra Bullock. The source shared, “She’s had a front row seat to Sandra’s journey. Seeing Sandra adopt as a single mother has given her a lot of confidence that it’s the right choice for her, too.”
They added that she now believes that she can be a single mother and that a “right man” would share her journey, but now she does not see it as a requirement. The Speed actress reportedly believes there are multiple ways to build a family, and that doing so has several advantages, including “never having to worry about a custody battle.”
