King Charles is reportedly urging Prince William and Kate Middleton to reconsider their stance toward Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as discussions about a potential family reunion continue. The reported divide follows Harry and Meghan’s private meeting with Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House in July, which fueled speculation that the Sussexes could gradually repair their fractured relationship with the Royal Family.

Royal tensions appeared to ease last month when Buckingham Palace confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had met King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House on July 10. The palace described the hour-long gathering as a private family occasion, marking a notable moment after years of strained relations between Harry and his relatives.

Meghan later shared photos from the family’s summer, including Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, during a visit to Althorp House, Princess Diana’s ancestral home. The developments have since fueled speculation that the Sussexes could gradually rebuild their relationship with the Royal Family.

According to Closer, the prospect of reconciliation has reportedly created fresh tension between Charles and the Waleses. A source claimed the King believes the prolonged family rift has damaged the monarchy and wants the royals to project a more united image. “Charles believes the division has weakened the monarchy, and desperately wants his family to present a united front,” the insider said.

The source further claimed that Charles views William and Kate as “stubborn” when it comes to Harry and hopes they will reconsider their position. Despite the King’s reported efforts to encourage reconciliation, William and Kate have allegedly shown little willingness to meet with Harry and Meghan.

According to the insider, the Waleses do not believe they should make the first move after years of public accusations and disagreements. “For a long time, Harry and Meghan were seen as trouble – but for the King, there’s now a rising sense of anger that William and Kate are standing in the way of any reconciliation,” the source alleged.
