- Jamie Foxx is expecting his third child at age 58.

- The *Ray* star said that he was “a little on the fence” about having another child “being my age.”

- However, a run-in with an older actor, who also recently became a father again, helped ease his anxieties: “I’m good.”

Jamie Foxx is about to become a father again, and he wasn’t sure how to react when he first heard the news.

The *Collateral* star, 58, is expecting his third child, and his first with girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp, 31. Foxx admitted a little hesitation to having a baby in his fifties.

“Being my age, I was a little on the fence, being 58,” he said in an interview with E!.

However, he noted that an older Hollywood dad reassured him. “Then I ran into Al Pacino,” he recalled. “[He said] ‘Ah, Jamie, good to see ya. I was worried about you!’ I said, ‘Al, whatchu doing?’”

Foxx said that his *Any Given Sunday* costar, 86, responded, “I’m having a baby!”

After hearing that Pacino was in his eighties, Foxx responded, “Al, you gonna be back in the drop-off line?”

He said that the *Heat* actor responded, “Back in the drop-off line.”

Foxx indicated that Pacino’s experience becoming a dad again in his eighties made him feel better. “I said, ‘Oh man, shoot, I’m good. Imma go shoot up the club.’”

Pacino welcomed his fourth child, Roman, in June 2023. He was 83 at the time, while his then-girlfriend, Noor Alfallah, was 29.

Foxx is also father to Corinne, 32, whom he shares with his ex Connie Kline, and to Anelise Bishop, 17, whom he shares with his ex Kristin Grannis. His eldest daughter has acted in movies like *47 Meters Down: Uncaged*, and has costarred with her dad on the game show *Beat Shazam* since 2018.

“I grew up going to set with my dad, obviously, and watching him work from behind the camera,” Corinne said in the same interview with E!. “But to be his co-worker, and the level of professionalism…he’s so light and so funny, and I just feel like I learned that you don’t have to be so serious to be great at your job. You kind of set the tone for everybody on set, and he does a great job of doing that.”

Jamie said that he’s extremely proud of how Corinne’s talents have blossomed over the course of their eight-year *Beat Shazam* tenure. “Just to be able to watch my daughter develop — eight years is a growth,” he said. “To watch your daughter, your child grow into something special, to where she starts off like any rookie in anything…and then, by the third, fourth year, boom, boom, boom, doing it. And that’s part of your family. And that’s what’s great. They say time sure flies when you’re having fun. Think about it, that’s close to a decade, and then to watch your daughter just handle it.”

He noted that Corinne’s responsibilities have expanded beyond just *Beat Shazam*. “She runs my whole company,” he said. “She runs the whole production company. Break the glass ceiling! Next stop: president!”

Foxx also reflected on his 2023 health scare, which saw him hospitalized for over a month following a brain bleed and a stroke. “A few years back, I went through something horrible,” he said. “My daughter made sure I got back. And so now, seeing that I have a new life, and I have my daughters embrace it — that’s all that matters. And she’s amazing.”
