By now, Bournemouth's operating model is clear to see: buy up Europe's best young talents, give them a platform to shine – and sell them on for big money.

With Alex Scott heavily rumoured to be the next cab off the rank amid links to Manchester United, Liverpool and a host of other top clubs, the Cherries will likely need to replace his energy in midfield. Among the breakout stars of 2025/26, there are few as eye-catching as Freiburg's Manzambi.

The Swiss was crowned "Europa League Revelation of the Season" – an award that'll look great on the mantelpiece – by Uefa's technical committee for his role helping Freiburg to the final of the competition. Past winners include Rayan Cherki and Florian Wirtz, not bad company.

Still only 20 years old, Manzambi scored picked up 16 goal involvements in 47 appearances last season and will be one to watch at this summer's World Cup.
