Dua Lipa's wedding jewelry had a stylish connection to a Hollywood icon

The singer wore a Bulgari necklace from a collection that was famously associated with Elizabeth Taylor

Dua Lipa's bridal look included some old Hollywood magic.

The singer, 30, tied the knot with actor Callum Turner on Sunday, May 31, in an intimate ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London. For her big day, Lipa chose a wedding look that had multiple ties to old Hollywood fashion.

Lipa ditched the idea of a traditional wedding gown and wore a custom Schiaparelli couture skirt suit that appeared to draw inspiration from Bianca Jagger's Yves Saint Laurent outfit worn for her wedding to Mick Jagger in 1971.

Her jewelry also appeared to have a connection to icon Elizabeth Taylor, as Voguefirst pointed out in an article published on Tuesday, June 2.

Along with her engagement ring, Lipa wore a Bulgari Serpenti necklace that dazzled in the sunlight. The 18K pink gold neckpiece featured two pear emeralds, and as reported by Vogue, the style was famously popularized by Taylor way back in the '60s.

Sotheby's website about the Serpenti collection, which launched in 1948 and is recognizable by its serpent motif, notes that the actress became synonymous with the line when she bought a watch in Rome while filming the 1963 movie, Cleopatra, on the set of which she was photographed wearing the timepiece.

Only Natural Diamonds claims that the piece seen on Lipa is worth an estimated $500,000.

The highly coveted design itself is meaningful and represents "power, transformation, seduction and eternity," as described by Sotheby's and is commonly made with diamonds and gemstones such as emeralds, rubies, and onyx.

Lipa's choice to wear Bulgari (she also wore a pair of 18K white gold earrings boasting two round diamonds) on her special day comes as no surprise considering her connection to the label. She was named a global brand ambassador in February 2026 and has worn their pieces on various occasions.

Now that the "Dance the Night" artist and The Boys in the Boat star are officially married, a source reveals to PEOPLE that she "couldn't be happier."

"The London ceremony was exactly what they wanted," the insider says. "It was intimate and meaningful, and they were surrounded by loved ones."

They celebrated with a "small celebration" after their ceremony and are "excited for what's still to come."

Lipa and Turner, 36, are reportedly planning to celebrate a second wedding in Sicily this weekend. "They get to enjoy the best of both worlds," the source tells PEOPLE. "A private moment together and a larger celebration with family and friends in Italy."
