The comedian and TikTok star, 31, popped the question to boyfriend Jonathan Carson in Acadia National Park in Maine. The couple shared photos of the special moment in a joint Instagram post on Sunday, May 31.
One photo shows Porter down on one knee in front of Carson, 29, by a rocky cliffside. Others capture the couple kissing and Porter smiling as his fiancé whispered something in his ear. A final image offers a close-up look at Carson's ring.
"Forever has a nice ring to it 🤍," the comedian wrote in the caption. Carson added in the comments, "MY HEART."
The comments were also filled with well-wishes from friends, including Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, who wrote, "Love this congrats ❤️." Kacey Musgraves said, "Gigi is real proud of ya hun."
Porter and Carson co-host the Camp Counselors Podcast,described on the show's official website as a "variety show" that "covers weird news, offers life advice, and highlights listener-submitted stories to remind everyone that we all have more in common than we think."
Porter shares frequent glimpses into the pair's relationship on his Instagram.
To mark Carson's birthday on Feb. 18, he posted a series of photos of some of their adventures together, including a ride on the Maid of the Mist in Niagara Falls, time spent volunteering at a food bank and outings to restaurants.
"Happy Birthday my Jonny Boy! 💞," Porter wrote in the caption. "I will love you in every lifetime. I hope we’re ladybugs next! 😘🥰."

In July 2025, Porter shared a snapshot of himself and Carson enjoying drinks outside at a restaurant and quipped in the caption, "So obsessed with my man even though we fought an hour ago!"
Carson also features Porter on his Instagram. In a fun post in August 2025, he shared a carousel of images of the two recreating his parents' 1986 honeymoon photos at various spots around Disney World in Florida.
Porter, who has 4.4 million followers on TikTok, is known for sharing hilarious slice-of-life skits and stand-up bits on the platform. He told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview earlier this year that he has a collection of more than 50 wigs that help him bring to life his various TikTok characters.
"I have an entire costume character room in my house that I get to pull from," he said. "When I do content, it's just fun to be like, 'Okay, what character am I doing today?' "
Porter shared that he draws inspiration for his original characters from the people he knows in real life.
"Everything I do is really related to the people that I grew up around," he told PEOPLE, adding that he appreciates that his comedy content offers moments of "reprieve" for his millions of followers.
"The best thing I hear from people is the escapism that I can give them," Porter said.
