Hilde Lynn Helphenstein, an influencer known for her art world commentary, has died at age 40.
The late content creator was found in her São Paulo hotel room on Sunday, May 31, per G1 Globo. The Brazilian outlet cited a police report, which noted that a man who claimed to be Helphenstein's plastic surgeon went to her accommodation, the Rosewood hotel, after he was unable to reach her by phone.
The art expert had reportedly been staying in Brazil for three weeks, during which time she underwent a cosmetic procedure. After the surgeon alerted hotel management about Helphenstein's unresponsiveness, staff called an ambulance and medical personnel confirmed her death at the scene, according to G1 Globo.

"I think it's healthy. So what I encourage you to do is just hire a makeup artist, get your hair done, get yourself a beautiful shawl, preferably something cashmere or woven in Peru, something nice," she said. "Wear it on your shoulders, and make up things that you're worried about."
The Rosewood São Paulo hotel has been cooperating with authorities as they examine the case, which G1 Globo confirmed was registered as a suspicious death by local police. In a statement issued to the outlet, as translated to English, the luxury hotel said it has been "promptly providing all requested information to assist in the investigation of the facts."
